Submitting Photos for the Month End Slideshow
On the end of every month, we present a slideshow of photos taken throughout the month. We encourage all members to participate in the slideshow and speak about their photos. We want to know what you like, dislike, might change next time or, if you would like some feedback on your images. All monthly slideshows are uploaded to our YouTube Channel found HERE!. Check out some of the amazing photographs from our members of all skill levels, absolute beginners to advanced.
In order to allow time to gather and create the slideshow, we ask that all participants have photos submitting no later than 6pm on the deadline date posted on the Event Calendar. In circumstances, where members are unable to submit their photos electronically, they can send their photos on a USB memory stick to the slideshow creator ahead of the due date, however this is not the preferred method.

Steering Committee
The steering committee is always looking for fresh, new ideas and welcomes replacement members on the committee. Ideally, 5-7 people are required.
The steering committee consists of:
- Chairperson – Oversees and conducts meetings.
- Treasurer – Maintains the club financials, accounting, registrations, collection of dues and 50/50 draws
- Secretary – looks after meeting records, maintenance of members list, name tags.
- Website Coordinator – Maintains the website and email system and monthly slideshow.
- Publicity person – Responsible for posters, business cards, car signs, etc. To promote the club and events.
- Events Organizer – Responsible for determining and scheduling activities and events, monthly outings, and topic/challenge for each meeting. This individual usually calls for assistance from the membership in planning and organizing events.
The steering committee meets regularly for approximately 2 hours. If you have any questions regarding specific duties, tasks, time requirements, etc. of any of the positions, please feel free to contact the steering committee.

KCC Facebook Group
A KCC Facebook Group has been introduced specifically for the club, which is exclusive to our members. It’s a great place to post photos and ask for some constructive critique, share photography web links and articles, sell gear, plan photo outings, and engage in photography based discussion with other members.
Involvement in the Facebook group is optional and does not replace our email or website communications on upcoming events or club news.

KCC Flickr Group
When the Kawartha Camera Club was established in the fall of 2012, one of the first things to be done was to set up a Flickr “Group”. For those unfamiliar with Flickr, it is an image hosting website used to share and embed personal photographs.
Flickr also hosts things called “Groups” where an online community is formed around a particular subject. There are Flickr Groups for everything you can imagine, where people can share photos of a common them and engage in discussions with other users.
Our club’s Flickr Group currently consists of members sharing over 1,100 photos. There are also a couple different ongoing discussions that members can take part in. If you have a Flickr account, then you simply need to navigate to the group and click the “Join Group” button.
